Tyga returns with his buddy Chris brown for another RnB track. The song is pretty much basic and to give it a detailed review in all honesty would be an insult to real music. But to all those Tyga and Chris brown fans ENJOY.

After been gone for so long Katy B brings you her latest single What love is made of. Looks like she has gone for the usual recipe with this one and really there’s not that much different between her usual songs and this one.  The song is still catchy and it good to have her back am sure this will enter the charts no problem but we’ll have to wait and see if it will fly high in the charts.

Fast and Furious Soundtrack – List, Songs and Videos

Fast-and-Furious-6-OST

Went to see this film on its debut day in the UK.  I was expecting a very different film to what I actually got. Although the film is somewhat far fetched, the cast and the dialogue carry the film through all of that. the comical relationship between Ludacris and Tyrese Gibson had me in stiches through out the entire film, refreshing because it just shows that they are not trying to take themselves too seriously. There was a very good balance between the action between the two rival crews, you become latched to the characters and get involved in their story and rooting for the good guys to win.

Overall a very good movie and what stood out even more was the soundtrack, the tracks went very well with the action.

Pusha T – Numbers On The Boards

Pusha T brings you his latest single produced by the one and only Kanye West and Don Cannon, sampling Jay Z’s a million and one questions. The beat is cool and add some kind of chill. Takes a true MC to really pull this one off because there are no loud dance beats to distract you from the words. The rapper here does a very good and shows the beat true Justice. You actually listen to the words in this one. Very rarely in hip hop do  you find rappers that are just pure skill, well not these days anyway. Pusha-T may as well be held as one of those guys that you know is going to save hip hop  Why because he embodies the original street MC, an untouchable flow, street credibility and his ability to hook in with bars filled with one killer line after the other. It seems this rapper does not need auto tune or dance tracks to grip peoples attention. The year is still young but I can safely say that this will be in my top ten hip hop tracks of 2013 list. Well done and cant wait for the album to come out. G.O.O.D MUSIC!

P!nk – Just Give Me A Reason ft. Nate Ruess

Just-Give-Me-A-Reason-Pink

This is the latest single from pop rock queen P!nk who collaborates with the lead singer of Fun! Nate Ruess. The two complement each other very well, so much as to say the sound and the song just sounds natural. The single so far has managed to raise a lot of hype around the world with a ton of sales and charts success.

Although it is very much a chart and catchy song we still shouldn’t take away the fact that the lyrics tell a story and the way this story is told by this too is very impressive. The song tells the story of two lovers who were previously together but through a mutual break up initiated by one half remaining very good friends.

“Right from the start you were a thief, you stole my heart and I your willing victim. I let you see the parts of me, that weren’t all that pretty and with every touch you fixed them. Now you’ve been talking in your sleep, things you never say to me. Tell me that you’ve had enough of our love ” this verse described how the relationship began, seems they were best friends for a long time but something went sour when they took it to the next stage, he started talking in his sleep which could also mean in secret and it was something he couldn’t tell her an in the end it got too much and it read he had enough of their love and decided to break it off.

When Nate’s verse kicks in it seems the man then speaks up and tries to plead with her that they are better off as friends. She used to lie so close next to him but now there’s nothing more than empty sheets, he thought they had settled it mutually. They continue this battle and she believes that she can revive the relationship “we are not brocken just bent” meaning there is a chance to restore it to what they used to be.

In conclusion this is a very good song and I have to say at a time when so many artists are now selling out and opting out for heavy dance beats and simple catchy lyrics e.g. Britney Spears & Will I.A.M – Scream & shout) it is very refreshing to see artists like pink actually put some thought into their lyrics and come up with something we can call a song. Bravo.

MACKLEMORE & RYAN LEWIS – CAN’T HOLD US FEAT. RAY DALTON

macklemore_oracle

After smashing his way into the charts with Thrift Shop, the rapper Macklemore here returns with his next big hit cant hold us back. Theres not much to be said about this song meaning wise but I can say this, the song is a lot of fun and the rapper displays just how far his skill will take him. Seems like this one is not a one hit wonder but will keep hitting you with even bigger hits.

If there is one person I should mention however it must be Ray Dalton who comes through on the chorus with a very powerful voice. His voice on the hook makes the song and its what makes it catchy as a matter of fact its a guarantee that most of you only listen to the song for the chorus either that or they are the only words you can remember. The singer is definitely someone to look out for in the future, that old school vibe to his style is something that is coming back in fashion. Overall the song is not too bad but enough of the party tunes we want the Macklemore we fell in love with, lets get back to making hip hop songs with heart and meaning.
